The Law Office has a new team member? And no, we’re not talking about a new cat, frog, or stuffed gorilla. Janelle Scoggins has recently come on board as our Client Services Manager after Felicia Watlington left to pursue the growth of her own business. We hope to interview Felicia soon and have the video available on the YouTube channel.
Janelle is a North Carolina native having grown up in the suburbs of RDU, but she is certainly well-travelled. After high school, she spent a winter in Connecticut and New York, then traveled internationally to the Bahamas, went parasailing in Key West, then to Dominican Republic, finally ending her travels with a cross county road trip to California. Another fun fact about Janelle is she hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail in the mountains of North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Her education continued by earning an associate degree in Art, with additional knowledge in NC Real Estate, and she held a NC Property and Casualty License. Janelle hopes to earn a bachelor’s degree in the future and become a successful entrepreneur like her parents.
While more than anything Janelle wants to spend as much time as possible in the office working for the law firm (insert chuckles here), she is passionate about helping others, the environment, animals, music and education. She also enjoys long walks with her 9-month-old Labrador Retriever & Plott Hound Hybrid puppy, Mello, and her boyfriend of six years, Cameron.
Two of Janelle’s favorite quotes are both by Alan Watts:
- “Going out of your mind at least once a day is tremendously important, because by going out of your mind you come to your sense.”
- “There is a price to be paid for every increase in consciousness. We cannot be more sensitive to pleasure without being more sensitive to pain.”
We are happy to have Janelle on board, and we hope you get to meet her soon. To see my interview
with Janelle, please check out the video on YouTube.
