I recently had a chance to team up with a good friend Ashley Hedges to relaunch a book project to benefit children worldwide. The Six Cents Initiative is a Circle K project to raise funds for clean drinking water. One of the ways we are fundraising for this project is through the sale of a book called Live to Serve, Love to Serve, and it is a collection of service stories from members of the Kiwanis Family. This book is now on sale at www.sixcentsbook.com, and all proceeds go to UNICEF. Here’s a message from Ashley sent to the members of Circle K International.
A few dedicated members have pulled together their own publication of a book entitled “Live to Serve, Love to Serve”. The book is a collection of stories written entirely by Circle K members from across 5 of the 7 subregions and a few Kiwanians that work closely with Circle K clubs. The book is a must-have for the college student that has dedicated their life to service, but the stories contained in the book are sure to inspire you on your path of service, regardless of age.
Additionally, 100% of the proceeds from this book will go directly to The Six Cents Initiative to purchase oral rehydration salts that save the lives of children lacking access to clean water. At only $10, this truly is a steal! Purchase your copy today at http://www.sixcentsbook.com/ (The page will automatically redirect you to CreateSpace – an Amazon company that will allow you purchase the book online.
Thank you for your help in saving the lives of countless children!
Ashley
