Over the past several weeks, my classmates and I have taken a hard, honest look at what it means to be part of Generation X while caring for aging parents, supporting adult children, and trying to secure our own futures. We’ve laughed a little, shared some difficult truths, and learned a lot from each other’s stories.

The Gen X Conversations series wasn’t just about legal documents or financial strategies. It was about real families dealing with real issues:

Each episode highlighted one simple truth: waiting makes everything harder.

Why This Matters for Gen X

We are the “sandwich generation.” We’re squeezed between helping our parents, supporting our kids, and preparing for our own retirement. If there’s one thing these conversations proved, it’s that planning ahead isn’t optional—it’s essential.

By creating trusts, updating wills, and talking openly with our families, we can ease transitions instead of adding to the chaos. By planning now, we give our loved ones the gift of clarity and peace of mind.

Gen X – What’s Next

This series may be over, but the conversations are just beginning. Estate planning, long-term care, and family preparedness aren’t one-time events—they’re ongoing discussions that every family should have.

I’ll continue creating videos and resources to help Gen X (and every generation) take control of their futures. But I’d love to hear from you: Did this series help? Would you like to see more conversations like this?
