On August 24, 2012, our law office was pleased to help our clients with a pre-marital agreement prior to their jetting off to Aruba for a formal ceremony. While this isn’t something different from what happens every day in the office, what happened next was different. Mr. Marsocci performed the real, legal marriage ceremony for the happy couple.

The reason Mr. Marsocci was asked to perform the legal ceremony was because it was important for them to be married by someone who supports marriage equality, and none of the ministers in Aruba that they spoke to were. the bride read in the office’s blog that Mr. Marsocci was very involved with the Human Rights Campaign and had performed a marriage ceremony for a friend, and so she asked if he could perform the ceremony for her and her fiance. So while the ceremony with family and friends will occur in Aruba, Mr. Marsocci had the honor of officiating the legal marriage ceremony.
